Pastor Rayfield Whittington Bio

Bishop Rayfield Whittington is a man of prayer, study and powerful teacher of God’s Word. Bishop Whittington has a heart for family and is finishing his first book to men. Bishop Rayfield Whittington is pastor of Life Changers Ministries in Denver Colorado. He was born in the year of 1951, in Hamer, South Carolina. His father Rayfield Sr. served in the US air Force and relocated the family to Denver in 1958.

Bishop Whittington was raised a Methodist and while attending college at Fort Hayes State College, Hayes Kansas, he rededicated his life to Christ in 1974. He returned to Denver and served at Jerusalem COGIC under Bishop HF Kelly, where he met and married Rita Williams in 1978. There he was challenged to seek God, live right, fast and pray and serve in the house of God. He later was employed by the Denver Fire Department for 19 years, where he worked as a Denver Fire Fighter. He moved into full time ministry in 1998 after founding Word Up Christian Center Church in 1993.

Rayfield & Rita Whittington are the proud parents of four children ranging in age from late twenties to just a six years old. Life Changers Ministries has grown to an exciting place to worship and praise God. The Word will challenge you to grow, change, know your purpose, worship and be healed. Today his main purpose is to teach people to know their purpose and destiny while proclaiming the healing power of God to the spirit soul and the body.
